At Growing Together Preschool, curriculum is designed to
educate the whole child and meet the individual developmental needs and
interests of the child. This
includes the encouragement of development of social, emotional, cognitive,
motor, communication and self help skills.
Activities are planned for both the individual child and the group.
Individual plans are intended to meet the individual developmental needs
of the child while group plans are intended to encourage cooperation and
interaction. Since Growing Together
Preschool emphasizes integration of children of varying abilities, the emphasis
is on meeting the individual child at their level as opposed to a rigid schedule
for teaching specific skills at a specific age.
Activities are intended to be functional, interesting, and
developmentally appropriate. |
